Welcome to Hero Dirt

Hero Dirt has truly been a long-awaited endeavor for us. The onset of the pandemic triggered various coping mechanisms in individuals. For Kelli and me, it served as the genesis of our shared enthusiasm for mountain biking and exploring downhill bike parks. Transitioning from hardtails - with me favoring Kona and Kelli opting for Jamis - to full suspension mullet bikes, (Santa Cruz Bronson for me and a Juliana Roubion for Kelli), was transformative. The fact that we stumbled upon these mullet bikes in the heart of Iowa during the chilly and snow-laden month of February seems almost surreal, but it sparked the flame of our deep-seated affection for downhill biking.

A little over a year ago, I approached my wife Kelli with the idea of establishing an LLC named Hero Dirt, LLC. However, amidst the hustle and bustle of life, a year passed without progress on this venture. The arrival of April 2024 brought forth unexpected family health issues, granting Kelli a moment of respite from managing her boutique while carrying for a loved one at home. Reignited with zeal for web design and entrepreneurship, Kelli dove into crafting graphic tees and our merchandise designs. Countless hours of dedication and overcoming obstacles have led to the exciting readiness of Hero Dirt Apparel's launch!

Through Hero Dirt, we are excited to share our thrilling adventures, which include but are not limited to our yearly visits to Bentonville, Giants Ridge, and Farside Bike Park. In the past, we have explored trails at Trestle and Snowshoe. For this year, our sights are set on the east as we gear up to conquer the trails at Highland Bike Park and Killington Bike Park. Stay tuned as we take on new challenges and embrace all that our adventures have to offer.

Meet Mr. Bronson and Julia, our beloved mountain bikes.
